Western Crescent UU Choir Festivals

Please note: On hiatus during the pandemic.

At least once each year the UUFD Choir hosts or participates in the regional Western Crescent Choir Festival concert open to the public.  In addition to members of the UUFD choir, the concerts feature singers from neighboring UU choirs west of Chicago, such as the Unitarian Universalist Church of Rockford, Elgin Unitarian Universalist Church, Tree of Life Unitarian Universalist Congregation of McHenry, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Geneva, although each year the choirs that participate may vary. Each choir performs 3-4 songs, and the concert ends in a mass choir section with several songs sung by all. Concerts are about 90 minutes. To provide time for even more fellowship and celebration, each concert is followed by a light supper of soup, breads, and desserts.

Free-will offerings are collected at these events. We hope you will come and support us and our neighboring UU churches in these inspiring and enjoyable musical outreach events.

Hosted by the Worship & Arts Ministry. Anyone at UUFD who would like to help with these festivals is encouraged to contact the Music Director.
