There is a common thread of spirituality and awareness underlying all religious traditions and also found outside of any tradition. Some have called this "The Perennial Philosophy." If a spirituality does not address the greatest of problems to the smallest of problems it should not be called spirituality. The Perennial Philosophy argues for universalism and inspired the Unitarians.
