You are Invited!

Last Saturday of each month (usually).

10:00 a.m. to noon

at the

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of DeKalb
158 N. Fourth Street, Dekalb IL

All members of the DeKalb community are invited to the monthly brunches prepared by The Welcome Café and Community Kitchen, a pay-as-you-can, non-profit meal provider and nutritional information service for the DeKalb-area community. Brunches are hosted by UUFD and are usually held the final Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Please check the UUFD website calendar to confirm dates.

This community brunch is full of heart, warmth and sincerity. The volunteers who make our community meals happen truly care for all the people that come through the doors of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of DeKalb, which hosts WCCK's brunches and where the concept for the Welcome Café originated.  We are humble helpers that enjoy the company of others. We provide a healthy meal that features local farm fresh eggs, vegetables, and breads. Voluntary donations to support these monthly brunches are welcome but not required.

We are grateful to the many student groups from the NIU community who have helped make our community brunch program a success: Student Dietetic Association, Bread For The World, NIU Chapter & Alpha Phi Omega have come together to add to our success. Many thanks also to DeKalb County Community Gardens, which donates fresh produce when in season, and to Sunn Flower Gourmet and Catering, which prepares the food.

Please consider donating some additional supplies for these brunches.  The WCCK  wish list includes:

Maple Syrup: 5 are needed (Other syrup flavors are also welcome)
Non-dairy creamer: 4 are needed

Drop your donations off in the UUFD kitchen, clearly identified for use by Welcome Café. If you have any questions, please contact Terri Mann-Lamb at temmy1224@gmail.com.
